This is a series of 66 mini podcasts - to support you through a 66 day alcohol free challenge.
The challenge lasts for 66 days because that's how long it takes to change a habit.
We have published an e-book called "66 days to sobriety" (available on our website https://www.tribesober.com) - this book contains 66 pages of tips, tools and motivation so I will read a page a day for these mini podcasts.
I will also update you on the healing taking place in your body and mind as you progress through the 66 days.

Be an anthropologist
Whether your time off alcohol is a temporary "detox" or a trial run for an alcohol free life it will give you a flavour of a totally different lifestyle. Try not to become a hermit - just get out there and carry on your normal life. Move into observation mode - be an anthropologist - there is so much material for you to observe! Buy a beautiful notebook and treat this as a scientific experiment. Behaviours to look out for at parties:- People asking the same questions over and over - not listening to the answers People crying about something that's not even a big deal People making the "sexy" face (even though it's the drunk train-wreck face) Fake conversations and lots of hugging! Now that you are no longer in that loop, try to seek out some of the quieter people - ask them questions - and listen hard to the answers - they will love it. At our workshops people say "I can't socialise without alcohol" but think about it - you are socialising sober all day long - with the family at breakfast, banter with your work colleagues, coffee with your girlfriends - you have the skills! Feel free to leave the party early - get into bed and write up your journal - what did you observe?, how did you feel?, what did you drink?, did you feel under pressure to drink? - and relish your clear head and total recall the next morning!
